Abstract
Jalan Abunawas, Kendari City is a 4-lane, 1-way undivided road. While Jalan Ahmad Yani is a 4-lane, 2-way divided road. This study aims to analyze the extent of side barriers on the Abunawas-Ahmad Yani road junction arm and analyze the performance of the Abunawas-Ahmad Yani road junction arm due to side barriers. This study uses calculations based on the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2023). The results of the side barrier analysis show that on Jalan Abunawas, side barriers on Sundays are very low (22 vehicles), but increase drastically on Mondays (794 vehicles). Conversely, Jalan Ahmad Yani also shows low side barriers on Sundays (19 vehicles) and high on Mondays (570 vehicles). The highest traffic volume was recorded on both roads in the morning on Mondays. In addition, the performance analysis of the intersection arm on Jalan Abunawas, Kendari City during peak hours, with the presence of side obstacles, has a Degree of Saturation (DS) value of 0.79. with a service level of D, while without side obstacles, the DS value is only 0.10. with a service level of A, On Jalan Ahmad Yani, with the presence of side obstacles, the Degree of Saturation (DS) value reaches 0.85, with a service level of E, while without side obstacles, the DS value is 0.7. service level A In addition, there is also a decrease in performance that is seen in the level of road service.
